I help professional regulators and associations build better governance structures and practices, among other things!

Governance is an important function for Professional Regulators and Associations, but one that often falls short, especially in small/medium-sized organizations. Governance gaps create organizational risks, can lead to misalignment of board member and management roles and to poor board/management relations, and often results in a generally underperforming organization. Unfortunately, governance gaps are often not obvious!

Through a methodical process based on his experience building a strong governance structure during his time as Registrar of the NB College of Pharmacists, and supported by his ICD training, Sam Lanctin helps small/medium prof. regulatory bodies and assoc. in Canada and beyond (et en francais) build strong governance structures, processes and practices that support the fulfillment of organizational mandates, set clear expectations of/for board members and mgmt, and generally increase the efficiency and effectiveness around the board table.

With 25 years of leadership experience in his arsenal, Sam provides a variety of advisory services to prof. regulatory authorities and assoc. that span planning, strategy, board relations, policy devel., business processes, and leadership. Sam also offers one-on-one coaching for Regulatory and Association Executives aimed at supporting them as they ''navigate the gray''.
